THE LOCATION

Froggatt, Hope Valley

Froggatt is a small village on the A625 close to the River Derwent, with a quaint 17th-century bridge. It is ideally located for walking, climbing and cycling — the climb to the top of Froggatt Edge is rewarded by a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.

The Chequers Inn is close by, with a well-stocked shop and petrol station in the neighbouring village of Calver.
